Games - Texas Hold’em

 
Texas Hold’em is one of the most popular poker games. Casinos in the United States hold World Series of Poker tournament every year, and award the winner over 10 million dollars. The game may have 2 to 9 players. To start a new hand, two "Blind" (big and small blinds) bets are put up or "posted." Each player is then dealt with 2 cards, and bets. After the first betting round is completed, three cards (The Flop) are dealt and turned face up in the middle of the table. Another betting round begins. Then the fourth card (The Turn) is turned face up, followed by another round of betting. Finally, the fifth card (The River) is turned face up, and final betting and showdown follows. Winner with the best combination of any five cards (see "Ranking of Poker Hands" below) takes them all. If two or more have the same hands, they share the pot.

Ranking of Poker Hands
Royal Flush       Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten of the same suit. This is the best poker hand you can have. (Number: 4 - Chance: 0.00000154 - 1 in 649,739)
Straight Flush       Any straight with all five cards of the same suit. (Number: 40 - Chance: 0.0000146 - 1 in 68,568)
Four of a Kind       Any four cards of the same rank. The fifth card may be used to determine who wins (in case two players share the same four cards). (Number: 624 - Chance: 0.0002401 - 1 in 4,164)
Full House       Any three cards of the same rank together with any two cards of the same rank. (Number: 3744 - Chance: 0.0014406 - 1 in 694)
Flush       Any five cards of the same suit. (Number: 5108 - Chance: 0.0019654 - 1 in 508)
Straight       Any five consecutive cards of different suits. (Number: 10200 - Chance: 0.0039246 - 1 in 255)
Three of a Kind       Any three cards of the same rank. (Number: 54912 - Chance: 0.0211285 - 1 in 47)
Two Pair       Any two cards of the same rank together with another two cards of the same rank. (Number: 123552 - Chance: 0.0475390 - 1 in 21)
One Pair       Any two cards of the same rank. (Number: 1098240 - Chance: 0.3512367 - 1 in 3)
High-card       Any hand that does not make up any of the above mentioned hands. (Number: 1302540 - Chance: 0.5011774 - 1 in 2)
